We have a mixer my father bought way back in 90s when I was a kid. It still runs and it often requires repairs but it's easily done in 1-5 bucks most of the time.
TBH, India has such mechanical Aids almost everywhere. If you're living around a big town, you'll just find one in 1km radius and they'll repair most of the times as soon as you take to them.
Other than the mixer, I also have an old cassette player, a dvd player, our first colur television and a few others may be.
The throwaway trash economy is strong in this here neck of the woods -- 60 dollars even felt a reasonable price for a machine that would have cost close to a thousand to replace.
