Welp stackers we are about 30 days out from the start of The Atlanta Bitcoin Conference #7 (TABCONF #7) at Georgia Tech!
I went to TABCONF #6 and had a blast so this year I decided to host an SN event and hopefully make this a yearly event along side this conference till my death!
So far we have floor space (which I hope comes with a table) and pod equipment provided by @Car.
I don’t have anything planned at the moment but here is what I plan to bring.
  • Merch from @AGORA
  • All the zines from @plebpoet
  • I ordered some blank satscards (yes from that NVK who hates on SN) to help stackers give out sats if they so wish. If not I plan on thinking of something cool like drawing SN designs and giving them away
I have some other ideas like making some business cards that link to Stacker News and to my territories but I haven’t pulled the trigger on that yet.
But stackers feel free to jump in the comments and help plan this event. The overall goal is to have fun celebrating SN and increase awareness about this great site we all cherish! Hope to see you all in Atlanta!
Big initiative, especially from someone I don't think is even in the SN org. A live TV stream from HTTPS://stacker.news site would be a great pull, maybe with some promo stuff mixed in. Congrats

First of all: this is awesome!!! Great job @BlokchainB!
Second, I have an idea involving the cowboy hat, but I got to work out some details right quick.
Also, maybe we should talk.

I would look into a yellow table cloth of a sort and some signage or something that says Stacker News or something we can print out from Office Depot and pick up and hang behind us.
Thanks for putting this together Boog! Will be coming in from Yucatán from Startup Day on Monday, so yes will be bringing mics and stuff to stream etc.
🤔 We might have to do SNL on Thursday afternoon that week. Since the conference is Monday - Thursday.
Will be a great time! Either way will figure it out on the fly. Will also be selling the SNL DVD as well at the table.
Internet might be spotty as well, so if anyone has a mobile hotspot for streaming definitely bring it we could use it. If not we can always record and upload later like we did for the crypto conference in Nashville.

Good Luck. I'll keep an eye on everything from the other side of the world. Thanks for putting this up together. May it grows so big so early that we can have one here in India, calling it tabconf India!

Thanks

Man, this will be epic, and the fact that you are committed to do it until tabconf exists is huge.
Count with me for any type of support you might need, from the business card design, design the pod or any marketing material and promotion. I can even help give this historic event (first community powered SN presence at events) some online visibility.

Respect & best of luck! I don't have much I can do in terms of supporting you from afar, and I don't have any SN-specific writings or merch to offer. But in case you want to order some general BTC-related goods for resale, you can have a look at https://www.kontext.store/ and I can give you bulk discounts. Also, my writings are all Creative Commons licensed so if you feel any of that is appropriate, you're free to print some and hand out or something (or offer a Name Your Price / V4V deal). I guess the Open Source Culture Manifesto (#883698) goes kind of hand-in-hand with the whole V4V idea, although most of my writings are more generic / prose / philosophy type texts. In any case, if you have any further ideas on how I could potentially pitch in / collaborate, feel free to reach out! 🤠
