I like to think i am, generally, a forgiving person, in most things.
But there are red lines where, if crossed, no second chances are given - infidelity for example, maybe a classic Judas back stabbing from a friend.
Where do you stackers fall on forgiveness and second chance scale?
Absolutely!!

No way, if a bullet is shot, it's sho. It hit right in my ass. I might forgive, but when I see that person again the wound in my ass will remind me of what they did, and I won't trust them the same as before. I mean the relationship will not be the same anymore. Forgiveness is God's job.

Yes. But not third. Trust betrayed too often. I feel naive now.
reply
yeah, if a person betrays forgiveness more than once, then game over

In theory yes. It can be hard to put into practice IRL.
reply
yeah, like the old biblical idea of turning the other cheek, extremely hard in practice

I tend to be pretty forgiving. haven't ever really had a situation in my life where I felt that I would cut someone out and be done with them.
But I do think there are situations that require such action, especially when talking about third, fourth, seventh, or more chances.

i am also luck in that i havnt had a situation like that, although i think sometimes, a person could kind of forgive, in theory, but also cut out .
like maybe if they were dealing with a drug addict relative etc when cutting out is best for a time etc

I think forgiving is good but I will definitely be more careful in the future. Of course depends on what happened.
reply
Yes I do.
reply
In most cases. Depends what was done.

There might not be room for second chances if there is one life.
