Perception is lining up with reality. So maybe, the value has an incentive to be improved. There is value in education and knowledge. The real value of college is the certification. The filtering mechanism. I write this as a college graduate with sons that are in college. It has value, just not what it used to have. Its not a boolean though. Its not as simple as many make it sound.

I saw an article today that the university of Minnesota is cutting its golf program, raising tuition and cutting 7% of its academic programs. This could be the start of a trend of cutting some of the pork at our universities
