I find it interesting that the only way people can rebel is against God and the Church. Without it there is no outlet for it. As old as the Garden itself.
It's only rebellion to the people who feel offended. If you don't impose your ideology, there's no problem.

The entire blueprint of your poem is built on rebellion against the book. There is nothing to suggest that it is only in the face of offense of the people of the book. Is this not imposing an ideology?

No, it's not. That's what you wanna make of it. You can't claim to know the poet's intent. Otherwise check your shrink for narcissistic disorder or something.
