Yesterday while reading the publication of @SimpleStacker where I asked for which reason it was that we published things on this platform.
I stopped to think for a moment after answering.
From my perspective it is something quite simple and evident, here I express myself naturally, without exposure to the public eye and mainly I can openly express myself about my doubts or small anecdotes related to Bitcoin.
Before knowing SN or Nostr the only social networks I knew were those of the "spy combo". Facebook, Instagram or Tweeter.
I immediately barely began to work to learn and understand Bitcoin, the burrow of privacy opened before my eyes, and that I took to consider things that I had not thought before, and one of them was to close my Instagram account, restrict my Facebook account to the fullest (still use it to talk to family or friends not so close) and adopt a pseudonym in tweeter important to be anonymous
"Being anonymous" is one of the main things that I like by SN. Today in 2025 knowing a little more than the world works, cyberspace, social networks, and data hunters. Spaces like SN where you can come, publish your ideas or doubts, your thoughts or ideals without the need to expose your true identity, they are sacred spaces.
I sincerely keep myself a secret with respect to Bitcoin, I do not speak to everyone what Bitcoin use, or that at least I know part of its operation. I mean the real world, where I come from, much less envy and evil things are needed. And just by preaching openly to the public that you are Bitcoiner you can easily become a goal. People are ignorant about Bitcoin, yes, it's true.
But every day is something that opens more to the world and arrives with synonyms for wealth and money. Any norm with bad intentions and that comes from a precarious neighborhood, hearing that you have some Sats or a bit of Bitcoin, do not think that you have a little, will immediately assume that you have a complete 1 BT of more than 100,000 dollars.
And if that happens, you become an objective 🎯 easily and automatically, both your relatives.
So ... for reasons like those is that I value this platform and tried to keep me publishing and participating to the greatest extent possible.
Of course from anonymity security.
Thanks for reading. 🀝🀠

I'm not here for the anonymity. I'm here to see where the publishing of creative kinds of works can go without a bunch of baloney in the middle dictating what can and cannot be said can do.

Your reasons are valid, as well as those of each individual. The really important and significant thing is that we are here in SN

Anonymity on SN isn’t just a feature, it’s a shield. SN lets us explore, question, and connect without the baggage of public exposure.
