Think of your phone like a beacon grenade. Doesn’t matter if it’s encrypted. Doesn’t matter if it’s a dumbphone. It pings. It connects. It screams your presence.
No map. No contact list. No way to coordinate or reroute. You’ve offloaded critical brain functions to a corporate server you don’t control.

This summer (May - Sept) I used my phone just for few days, no more than 10.
All the rest it was offline (when I was at my citadel just listening some books or podcasts - already downloaded) or even totally OFF.

I start to like this life without "so dependable phone"...

But the point about faraday cage while on the move / not using it, is valid.

yeah when I travel I always put my phone OFF / airplane mode and even in a aluminium bag.
