I had something similar happen, and am strongly considering doing a detailed writeup for the community about the lessons learned. My overall takeaway is sadly still "there is nothing new under the sun", because "bullshit is an order of magnitude easier to generate than refute" is equally true across the past few seasons of AI hype.
