Yeah, a lot of things to think about after this podcast. I'm mostly envolved into mobile app stuff, but still it was rly intersting to listen it. Here great article about mobile app dev trends -> https://solveit.dev/blog/top-mobile-app-development-trends
If you can apply these mobile app trends to your case in the right way, you’ll get an app that is popular and future-proof.

For the Youtube video (which is audio only) of this podcast episode:
What a fantastic episode. The dynamic between Fiatjaf and the others was unexpected. Fiatjaf is obviously concerned that nostr will be pigeonholed and marginalized as a bitcoin social network. He prefers that all payment methods be used on nostr, with the goal of normies being stealth orange pilled. The pushback from the others was almost dismissive of Fiatjaf. I expected more deference to the Satoshi like inventor. I really enjoyed the push and pull.
It's super easy to make the application really slow. I was really surprised when it happened to me... It took seconds for what I assumed should take milliseconds.
"Rails has scalability issues
Not true. Ever heard of Basecamp, Groupon, Airbnb and Shopify?
Well, they are all built with Rails. So, this Ruby on Rails criticism is totally uncalled for.
The first thought of RoR being difficult to scale appeared when Twitter had switched from Rails to Scala. It was thought that if such a big company, like Twitter, abandoned Rails then Rails must be no good. But time has passed and has shown that other corporate giants have stuck to Rails and have had an awesome journey with it."

bitcoin review is now the best bitcoin podcast hands down and nvk should be congratulated
It has very quickly moved to the top of my list. Wild how fast it happened.
It doesn't hurt that I don't have to skip eight minutes of ads at the beginning.

Hey! What's wrong with ruby on rails?
At 12:00 why did Jack say ruby on rails was the original sin?
It's super easy to make the application really slow. I was really surprised when it happened to me... It took seconds for what I assumed should take milliseconds.

It is more difficult to scale horizontally than some other languages/frameworks.
I thought everyone scales horizontally using Kubernetes these days.
Rails earned its reputation long before container orchestration (or even containers) were a thing.
