Today I played around with Nano Banana. AI coding tools like Claude Code are strong, but tools for UI design… not so much. I wanted to see if Nano Banana could actually help me out.

Turns out it’s decent at a bunch of things, but for UI design—the kind of stuff I do in Figma—it just isn’t there yet. What it spat out felt more like a rough draft than a real usable design - but it's still early.

Where it did shine was in putting together a slick-looking product demo.
I gave it this:

and it turned it into this (one shot) which i was impressed by!:

Beyond that, I spent a chunk of time thinking through the September roadmap which I'll be talking about soon.
