A very long time. That was my sixth draft. I practiced it so much in the car that I could recite it even when weaving through LA rush hour traffic and having people cut me off! The best part was when I did it later for friends I'd say one of the first lines, "Cake it til you make it." and then my two year old would reply, "Slice, slice, baby!"
