Finished the Sound HSA challenge (now I need to figure out why they're struggling to pay me). Also, finished the Workit challenge. They just updated their app, so maybe there's hope Workit will return to its former glory soon.

Otherwise, today turned into a total cheat day. I'll just have to polish off the junk food tonight, so it's not around tomorrow.

How did you all do with your ~HealthAndFitness goals today?

2 hours of jumping around on trampolines with the kiddos. Was definitely a good workout.

reply

That sounds great. Was it a trampoline park or a backyard setup?

reply

Trampoline park. It's my daughter's birthday today. She turned 7.

reply

How fun!

reply

We had a lot of fun. I mitigated all that exercise by eating pizza and cake. Gotta stay balanced.

reply

Managed to knock out another 100 pushups yesterday. Felt good, was a lot easier.

I plan on knocking out another 100 today

Sleep is still rough around the edges, went to sleep at around 1am yesterday and woke up at 7, definitely not ideal but manageable for now.

Drank more protien shakes. My diet nowadays consists of sandwhiches/steak/eggs/protein shakes, granola, nuts, doughnuts, and coffee, lots of coffee. Took 3 days off from the creatine, i'm using it as a pre workout.

Did you try the honey in your coffee? Have you tried adding coconut oil or butter to it? It cuts the acidity a bit and provides some easy tasty healthy calories.

I have honey, but havent been doing it, probably should. Wasnt thinking about it from the calories perspective. Putting butter in my coffee seems crazy, about to have a black coffee in a few (No honey in the fiat mines) but will start doing the honey thing when working from home.

reply

Bullet coffee's pretty common

Haha I went a little hard on the sweets tonight. A few mini oatmeal cookies a few dark and milk chocolate peanut butter cups and some 1% milk to flush it all down.
But I hit 13k steps and ran half mile in 3 mins

reply

I ate more than a few cookies and they weren't mini and they didn't have oatmeal in them.

reply

If it wasn’t for my sweet tooth I would be at my target body fat already

reply

If it weren't for mine, I doubt I ever would have passed my target weight (or even had to think about something like target weight).

reply

Indulged in Popeyes Fried Chicken for supper with an ex-colleague after Teacher’s Day celebrations. The thrill of a rare night out dispelled any sign of guilt in regard to junk food

reply

Are you still running home after work or is that not feasible with the new job?

reply

Running to school in the morning!
Since that works out better with my new routine.
Plus, there is a shower room right inside the staffroom. Incentive to save on my utilities bill!

But I haven’t done so this week. It is the penultimate week before the September break, so I have more things to clear on my plate haha

reply

The cheapskate in me applauds your efficiency.

reply

For the first time after a long time I'm not at my home, travelling solo to Delhi and Haridwar, right now in Delhi. I've eaten at dominoz, mcd, watched a movie, drank a little and enjoyed a lot.

reply

Looks like it's off-days all around then

reply

Just chilling around after a long time

I started dieting with my partner - we stopped eating sugar and cutting carbs as much as we can and increasing our protein intake. So far we lost 1kg in 1,5 week.

reply

That's great! I hear it's much easier when your partner's onboard.
