• You could open channel to exchanges: RoboSats, Kraken, etc..
• You could open channels with other nodes via a tool like https://lightningnetwork.plus/nodes Has benefit of increasing your node capacity at the same time.
• Provide liquidity via https://amboss.space/magma

1M sats channel is tooo weak. I would recommend at least 3-5M per channel if you really want to run a routing node.
1M sats/chan (private) are more for mobile LN nodes not for routing nodes.

Well I don't think there's really a "making the lightning network better" Everyone in the lightning network connects (or should be connecting) to nodes they want to do business with or are otherwise connected to nodes they want to do business with. Since you use Stacker news, it might make sense for you to connect to SN's node. Its at the bottom of the webpage
