On this day, August 28th, Hal Finney, one of the pioneers and true heroes of Bitcoin, passed away. The same man who wrote that legendary tweet: Running Bitcoin.

Hal was one of the first to trust Satoshi, one of the first to run the software, and one of the first to dream that this could change the world. And not only that: he was also a man of integrity, fighting ALS with dignity to the very end.
