1) nostr backend (automatically unlocking subs and DMs) 

2) SN, with its added reputation, wot and payment features as L2

Also, why not
3) a SN relay, with nip05 support, and SN client app? 😊

A thought that crossed my mind, fwiw:
SN could potentially use nostr as their backend. This would instantly enable DMs and subs, and bring its existing wot/reputation and payments features as L2 on top.
