Despite operating within the regime's concept of "misinformation" there is a kernel of truth in this.

We need to get out of the mindset that every advance in technology is automatically a good thing. It leads to reckless innovation and hubris. It also presents a temptation to discard past wisdom because the source of the wisdom was more primitive tech-wise.

All technology has its upsides and downsides. I would even go as far as to say there are technologies that are straight up evil.
