no is not. Linking any personal information to a bitcoin address is dumb. Not everything "built on Bitcoin" is good for people and for Bitcoin itself... let's stop this stupidity to put everything "on Bitcoin".
You don't link any personal data to spaces protocol.
It's like being called satoshi, or darth coin, except you can use that name across all peer to peer applications and sign your messages with your bitcoin private key. Or not, it's your choice, you can sign with a different name. The point is it's YOU that are signing, not some website on your behalf like with all certificate authorities. Spaces protocol is designed with privacy in mind and scalable to billions of names. Use one name and never use it again if you want, similar to bitcoin public addresses.
Don't be naïve. Centralized digital ID's are rolling out. All https, dns, icaan mumbo jumbo sites must obey. Even stacker news. Entire tld's can get shut down, it's already happened, all controlled by one group. And so the need for secure and decentralized identities.
