Lighting network as a payment rail is the common denominator, not these bridge / pegged / wrapped contraptions.
I don't think is one of the other. In fact the Lightning Network teams and the Rootstock teams work very closely together to integrate both systems.
On something like Rootstock where you have more complex level of coding you can create a really robust decentralized stable coin. Then on Lightning you could transfer it with almost 0 fee and instant settlement.
I think we need to be open to this innovation as it will massively help Bitcoin, specially in places like Africa and Latin America (where I am from and where this kind of technology is obviously and undeniably valuable).
Thank you for your comment, I think this conversations are crucial at the stage we find ourselves with so many economies across the world in the brink of collapse. Bitcoin is the way forward, at least we can all agree on that :)
