We are pleased to announce that one of our solutions was recently featured in a public television segment on “Paying with Bitcoin,” broadcast by WDR. We would like to thank WDR for highlighting innovative payment technologies and including our contribution.
The feature included an interview with restaurant owner Joannis Panagou, who has welcomed more customers to his Mexican restaurant since introducing Bitcoin as a payment option.
With the Lightning Network at the core of our infrastructure, opago enables fast, cost-efficient, and user-friendly Bitcoin transactions for merchants across various industries.

Nice one!
How does the PoS work? I saw the QR scan. Does it also do NFC cards?
reply
Hello @OT, thanks! Yes, it supports Bolt cards via NFC.

I love how ya'll wrapped the device all in one material/color. It's a great vibe.
reply
Hello @k00b, Thank you for your comment. Since we wanted to offer it to merchants at an attractive price, using an entirely injection-molded casing turned out to be the best choice. The color is also intended to add a touch of Bitcoin flair at the checkout and spark interest in the topic.

Good to see. I think a PoS is a key part of getting merchant into receiving LN.
It looks similar to LNbits.
Any plans to do bolt12 along side LNurl?
reply
We currently have several technical improvements planned, particularly for our Android application, which can be used on existing POS devices. We are in the process of rolling these updates out.
