There is usually some luck involved. Sometimes the ball has to bounce your way. 49ers had numerous things go wrong that led to that last Super Bowl loss against the Chiefs but luck was one of them. Chiefs fumbled 5 times and all 5 went right back to them. If even one of those goes the 49ers way they win. Meanwhile the ball bounces off the toe of one of our special teams guys and goes to the Chiefs leading to a TD. If that ball bonces to us, we win. You gotta be good but also a bit lucky. Or you just have to blow them out like the Eagles did.
