ive wondered this before as well but i suppose this here post is our answer
I’m starting to write short compositions for my students, though. This tip is for three of them who use dialogue to death! More tips to come, I guess
I actually don’t. I love writing, but I fancy myself as either a travel writer (chasing the heels of people like Pico Iyer) or a newspaper columnist (sharing my unique perspective and critical eye on stuff).
You can infer that I’m rather self-centered. Want to talk about me, me, me. Fiction necessitates that I put myself in the shoes of my characters and walk their journey. I don’t think I can do that since I’m constantly reflecting on my life. Plus, I don’t have the discipline to write fiction. I tend to drop passion projects like sacks of hot potatoes haha
I'm curious, sensei, do you write fiction?
