Larry was good but I don’t think he was generational like Moss and Megatron
Peak wise Megatron and Moss were more dominant.
Longevity wise Fitz was better for longer and reinvented his game to become a slot receiver later in his career (was an incredible run blocker)
He put up crazy numbers with subpar quarterbacks for a good duration of his career.
He also is one of the clutchest playoff performers and would consistently elevate his play in the most important moments

All great points but if Starting a team today most people are taking moss and megatron over Larry.
Larry was great indeed and reinventing yourself to stay on the field is commendable but on raw talent moss and mega are better in my humble opinion

Owen’s and Julio Jones also probably had more raw talent. You could argue megatron had the most raw talent ever. Julio was also as dominant as any wr at his best.
But career wise few are as accomplished viewing the entire picture.

Stats are only one part of the story. Larry will get his jacket but thought of as an all time great I just don’t think so

He’s a first ballot calibre player. 100% a top 10 player at his position all time
reply
Yes I agree on that but he’s not in my top ten of WRs

Who are your 10?

I would really have to think about it to come up with a list maybe Larry would Be in the 6-10 range but deft not top five
Jerry Rice Tim Brown Randy Moss Calvin Johnson Cris Carter
Looks like a decent top 5 but even Calvin looks outta place here. Could easily move TO into that slot
He averaged over 100 receiving yards per playoff game and is the only player listed in the top 25 with fewer than 10 games played. 10 TDs in 9 games too

He also had way shittier QB play than most other “generational” receivers
Outside of Warner, Palmer and Kyler years the QB play was horrendous
reply
True and that helps and hurts him in my opinion. But Larry did play with three very capable QBs
reply
For like 6-8 years (in his prime) he had shit qb play. Basically he has a good qb 50% of the time and a 2nd / 3rd string quality player the other half
Most other “top” receivers played with hall of famers a good chunk of their careers
Calvin Johnson only played 17 games without stafford as his qb
