My wife sent me this guy's instagram. He makes sample packs using relatively weird things like symbols dipped in bowls of soapy water and drums filled with legos. I thought it was cool.

Whenever I hear a weirdly satisfying sound I think about what kind of beat can be made with it (annoyed with how much fashion/trend dominates music rather than novelty). Some people are so good at this kind of thing they have careers doing it I guess.
