Star Trek: Discovery is legit. Strange New Worlds was a little dramatic and barely woke (yet enough for me to presume it'd get worse) off the jump, but if I skip over the soap opera stuff even that series has some good hard scifi in it. Discovery has even more hard scifi; though, the primary technology premise is hand wavy (eg quantum spores), ie as plausible as anything that it belongs to the set of infinite things we don't yet know, ie more fantasy than substance.
