Ordinals are super cool. The concept of inscribing ordinals is even cooler. Actual NFTs on the blockchain. Obviously don't expect cryptopunks type quality here. If you have deep pockets though, then a fairly detailed png should be no problem to inscrbe. People should talk more about ordinals. Super cool!

Super interesting, sure, but would need some "polishing" before going mainstream...

You don't think the homepage with a random collection of text strings and 10x10 pixel images is polished enough? Jeez, talk about a harsh critic ;)

This is pretty wild. I wonder what other use cases will emerge from the concept of attaching basically meta data to sats

Can we maybe...not clog up the blockchain with actual data? I can get behind a compact signature/hash that denotes ownership in an asset (house/car/random jpeg) but the actual data doesn't need to sit on-chain.

If it’s off-chain, how do you make it decentralized?
If the data is on a centralized server, you’re trusting the server operator to keep that data available at the provided link in perpetuity. IPFS still seems slightly immature, though maybe that’s an option.
Would be curious to hear more.

Fuck ordinals. Hopefully most node runners downgrade to 23.0 if they dont fix taproot to get this BSV bullshit out of BTC.
