I totally would have read a full fledged paper from 2176 about the endemic suicide phenebon of the early 2030s! I'm a huge sucker for this kind of story (although if I'm honest I want it to be a little more granular, perhaps a study of a specific city or demographic).
Also: Emerald-City-Syndrome is great fun!
