If I understand this article correctly, this will make it possible to not just receive payments over LN but also to receive a notification (both on ios and android) of the incoming payment.

This puts LN on the same level of user-friendliness as banking: my banking apps are on silence, but I could change settings to get a ping every time I receive or send a payment.

I guess this essentially allows you to have an lnurl on a light wallet that may not be able to set it up otherwise. Not exactly how it works but very cool regardless
