  • Launching my first book (first, trying to figure out how to introduce it exactly, been a bit low on inspiration these past few days)
  • In relation to launching the book, also re-doing Kontext Store of Value from scratch (the book is already on Amazon, but I also want to sell it directly and for BTC, of course).
  • Attending my first ever proper (i.e. multi-day) Bitcoin conference in Riga - the Baltic Honeybadger 2025
  • Hopefully I'll also have a some time to make some small updates to Satoshee
  • I think that's it. Oh, and of course, I'm still doing 120+ pushups daily, which is also a type of work I guess 🤠
My room is in desperate need of a proper clean and organizing, which is something I've been avoiding/putting off for weeks but in all likelihood I won't get to it this week either! Jordan Peterson would be disappointed, I know, as am I. But something's got to give. Something has to take the backseat in the hierarchy of priorities. IDK... perhaps, if I had already cleaned the room I would also have a clearer headspace. Perhaps I will clean the room tomorrow. We'll see. Top priority is, in any case, getting the new site up and running, letting the people know the book is ready, it exists and can be acquired, and making it to Riga.

Better and faster live comments (and unread comments!) from the way we show them to the way we interact with them.
After that, I'll shift my focus to new options for content creators.

I'm trying to get caught up on admin, but I wrote about what I'm otherwise working on in the saloon yesterday:
I must've missed the Szabo essay titled Creating a Generic, Noncustodial Micropayment System is Really Hard.
I'm refactoring1 SN's cardiovascular system and it's difficult to express how challenging it is to associate asynchronous payments2 with otherwise independent data.3
If non-custodial4 micropayments ever become a thing, there's an opportunity for making a B2B product that makes this kind of thing easy.

Footnotes

  1. I'm ashamed to say it's practically a rewrite considering how much code is changing. ↩
  2. Non-trivial on the face of it, but especially non-trivial with expectations that payments fan-out to multiple places depending on the action that's being performed, there's an ability to prove payments happened, and everything can still be audited. Add to it supporting a custodial crediting system as a fallback. ↩
  3. It probably goes without saying, but especially difficult if you want to do it well ... meaning, if we're sticking with the cardiovascular metaphor, it can support the organism through radical changes and growth and still be resilient. ↩
  4. Custodial is non-trivial too, but at least an order of magnitude less so. ↩

I wanted to start (and possibly start documenting) my 6-month career change journey for the second half of the year but instead we've been dealing with basement flooding.
Next week maybe.
