When will people stop using LLM output as their written voice? Use AI to help you think or get something done, but presenting it as you debases you. If anything, you should be the last mile not it. Otherwise it severs any connection I might have to you.
A lot of times people say that english isn't their first language and they use the AI to translate their thoughts.
I try to imagine myself participating on a foreign language message board and how i'd go about doing that without the help of AI.

you wouldn't
I don't believe them that they can read English but not write it—or can't read English and enjoy being here enough to make up for having to translate everything first and then translate their replies back into English with AI

I wrote this after reading an AI assisted tweet from a native English speaker. Also there’s a wide line between translation and AI content.

Absolutely. I read in English and write very badly. I use Google translator for some of the things I have doubts about in terms of text construction. I'm learning at the same time as I want to be a good compere.

I have a feeling if you write in your native language and then toss it in google translate, it doesn't come out like ai stuff...

I can guarantee that! I have two languages that I can use fluently and the Google translations don’t work for me. I also notice that the translations from Japanese to English in anime really doesn’t always fit either. Perhaps language is really a human thing.
