I can't decide if this works as a story premise or not. I'd like for it to, but it feels too coerced somehow. It's like Tom Clancy drank a fifth and learned some pieces of network security that all happens to tie to bitcoin...Not below Clancy-type novels, but also not somehow fully believable...
Anyway, it'll be interested to see what the contest thinks about it!
Drank a fifth? Not sure I fully comprehend your feedback either but I appreciate I can’t get into all the ideas of Softwar and what it may look like in the future. If you’ve read Jason’s thesis, as I have it’s 400 pages of very dense physics, energy and military strategy (read here if you wish: https://dspace.mit.edu/bitstream/handle/1721.1/153030/lowery-jplowery-sm-sdm-2023-thesis.pdf?sequence=1).
Would be interested to hear what details you think would be missing to make it more plausible.

400 pages is a chunk. I'll have to get back to you on it. It's not so much that it isn't something that could happen, more that it is unlikely to happen. People usually don't band together in poor places to start mining Bitcoin. Rather, they more often are sent to mines...

That's a fair point, but guess doesn't make for an optimistic story about our future with Bitcoin. There's a lot of motivation for soverignity as it's under attack from my perspective and hopefully with access to AI and other tools that will only increase, even if people are living humble lives stacking sats.
