Not just slowed down but many channels were forced closed or just mdied. So in the end I just decided to shut down my node after almost 1 year.
Yes, I am a node runner from early 2019, running many implementations and testing a lot.
Now I decided to go more "private" and run private nodes: nodes that are not public for routing (just for personal use) and nodes that are I run / use on my mobile devices (Blixt , OBW, Breez, Electrum, Phoenix).
Many people still don't know or don't want to understand that in order to use LN you really don't NEED to run a public routing node, it is enough a mobile node or even a decent desktop hidden node, enough for your personal needs.
Public routing nodes are way beyond any mortal can understand and envision for the next 20 years. Most of the people think only in "today I want to earn 100 sats in routing" but do not think about all the consequences from that aspect.
I am a more visionary and crazy bitcoin maximalist that this community can think about...

This reminds me of a discussion with a friend where I was shocked when he said "I don't like bitcoin because I have to download 30GB before using my wallet". He thought the blockchain is 30GB and that he has to download the blockchain to use bitcoin lol
He then went on that he likes IOTA and Solana
