I've noticed I'm making the same mistakes in faces. Perhaps I've been too much influenced over the years by looking into the mirror. When you paint another person you realize just how different the features are.

Often I don't have the main features close enough together.
I.e. my ratios are too big between the eyes, mouth and nose.
Probably a Dutch thing, everything is bigger here.
We don't have those nice delicate looking faces.
