It’s changed for me throughout the years. First it was Big Mac then it was a Whopper Jr. with cheese. Then I had a brief love affair with Wendy’s jr bacon cheeseburger but now
I keep it simple:
A little cheeseburger from five guys. Sometimes I had a A1 sauce when I’m feeling saucy.
This hit my email box this morning and now I might get one this weekend. Proof unsolicited ads work!
I want to say Steak 'n Shake, but I would be lying. White Castle for me for taste, but Wendy's single with cheese is easier to get.
+1 for Wendy's! but nothing beats a home made burger patty, made and grilled fresh in my own backyard.
In the early twenty-teens, I got off the road with a funk band after two band members were murdered and I couldn’t find local work for a while with my horn. I spend about three years as an iron worker at Fortin Ironworks and built a few hundred rails for Wendy’s. Whenever you’re holding those red rails outside of Wendy’s, they may have been my fabrication.
In-n-Out cheeseburger animal style.
I haven't had these many times but the Shake Shack burgers are also solid.
This!!!
What is "animal style?"
For more info on animal style
Grilled onions instead of fresh onions. Thousand island dressing, but I forgot if that's just standard
yes
P Terry's all day everyday. Had In N Out again after a long break and it isnt even close. Five guys would be #2.
In N Out feels more like hype than actually killer flavor. either that or i just dont get it. I know the secret menu items etc. still just not quite there for me.
What's your order at P. Terry's?
double cheeseburger with grilled onions, pickles and a crispy chicken patty added and fries.
In n' Out is the best, cheap burger you can get. Nothing fancy, but isn't gonna cost you $12 for a burger, either.
+1 I wish there were one in downtown Austin
They're moving their headquarters out of California and to Tennessee I think. So eastward expansion is likely in the cards
👀 afaik they aren't eastward because all of their suppliers are on the west coast and beyond 2 days by truck they feel like the ingredients lose freshness. If they're moving to Tennessee, they will probably find a way.
I agree but In n Out is only on the west coast! Haha I gotta get on a plane to get my In n Out fix
Lebanon, TN
They're as far east at Texas! We have them here in Austin
Lucky
I'm in Texas and they have In n Outs here. But you're right that it's not nationwide.
Opening in Tennessee very soon!!! Headquarters moved here, too!
Wendy's Baconator
This is the only answer.
Culver's double butter burger!
Ahh Yes the hidden gem of the northern Midwest.
My favorite burgers are all from local joints
If we're talking national chains, if I had to choose one place it'd be chick fil a if chicken sandwiches count. If only beef burgers count I'd probably go with five guys
I haven't eaten any burgers in years, my go to fast food is Doner kebab. 😂😂😂
you're too well travelled for this thread
Culvers 100%
Very on brand for you lol
Gotta represent the home state.
When I was a child I used to go to Wendy's. His ice cream after eating were wonderful.
For me, a good hamburger, must have cheese, mustard and chin as main ingredients, without that lacks flavor. IMO
100% in-n-out. I usually order a couple flying dutchmans.
I don't know if they're considered fast food, but if I'm not driving around and want to doordash a burger, I will usually get sliders from jewboy burgers.
If I'm in downtown Austin, which is most of the time, I prefer Burger Bar.
My office overlooks a P. Terry's, and I want to like their burgers, but I do not.
I don't usually eat a lot of those, but when I go downtown and we eat at Burger King, I always order a "Whopper Furioso", hahaha
I usually go to BK for the free refill, hahaha
Hahahah
I like Wendys burgers the best of the fast food chains but we don’t have as much selection in Canada as you do in the US.
I eat burger sometimes, but this particular one looks different though is well packaged and attractive...Lol
I've always liked burgers from less famous stalls, meaning the ones near my house, common stalls. Street food is delicious. 😋.
We've Burger King and that's the cheapest best. Starter in 99 rupees or $1.15.
My kitchen!
I have not been to a fast food place for years...
My wife and myself enjoy cooking, so is not a problem for us. And, most of the times were we eat outside, we come the same conclusion: We could have eaten better at home… healthier and cheaper.
I didn't have one until Steak'nShake started accepting Bitcoin.
Now they are number one, with nothing to compare them to.
I think the best burger I’ve ever had and will ever have is a place called Wallbangers in CC. Grew up eating at that place for special occasions, still around after 40 years.
In Austin it’s definitely Casino El Camino get the armadillo burger and chili verde queso fries, nothing comes close 👌 just bring an appetite.
A&W
That's easy to answer :P Double chicken burger with cheese :D But I don't usually eat at "famous" fast food restaurants (like McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, etc), I prefer smaller, local fast food restaurants...and even there quite rarely (only 1-2 times a month)
Only sometimes with friends
Five Guys
Whataburger Sweet & Spicy Bacon Burger
Never had one of these
it's one of their special promotion burgers that was so good they decided to keep it permanently
Goodburger, home of the Goodburger
"Honest burger" — every Friday evening!
Love those Wendy's square patties
Burger, regular burger
popeyes, I really like it.
Large red beans, no rice and a biscuit. 😁
