I looked up how much the original costs. It’s ~€100.
How much are the fake ones?
If it’s a lot cheaper, I would try one of them. If it breaks, you can still buy the original.
Much less than that, around $20 in my area.
I think this is the best approach, since the goal is simple.

If I may ask: why do you need a watch that costs €100 if you want "something simple and durable"?
Is the F-91W not enough? it costs €15, it's reliable enough for bombs and I also have it and never had any problems with it. Can't even remember when I bought it, might have been 10+ years.
didn't include this question in my initial reply since I know it can be annoying when someone asks for advice on buying something and then people reply with "why do you need that???

Yes, you can ask, after all, I made a paid post on a public platform and I appreciate your attention.
The F91W seems more fragile than the G-Shock, from what I've seen. Some things are better on the G-Shock, like the backlight and durability. But overall, it's all about the aesthetic.
That's why your question is good; it's clearing things up. A fake that looks like a G-Shock is viable.
