It's a fair question. I think that there is enough evidence to say that the history I'm presenting here is an integral part of the history of Bitcoin. We may not like it, but Bitfinex and Tether played a role in Bitcoin's rise.

well like the USD... we can relate anything to bitcoin if we wish too. Was just out of curiosity, and a bit of surprise to see it here

I think it's a little different from USD. USD would still be here whether Bitcoin existed or not. Where would Bitcoin be if there weren't early exchanges and a good amount of "liquidity" or whatever was going on to allow traders to trade it back and forth?
I'm not saying Bitcoin wouldn't exist either, but it's possible it would have remained far more niche than it is.
