Since I have been working in the cannabis industry for 5 years and have seen first-hand how centralized financial companies such as PayPal or Visa freeze money of entrepreneurs. So I only consider money that values privacy. Bitcoin and Monero are absolute heavyweights, and I'm excited about every step Bitcoin is taking towards better privacy. The Lightning Network, and Cashu in particular, is exactly where it should be going. For now Bitcoins fungibility (on 1st layer) could be problematic for users. With cannabis being illegal in many countries, there is a risk that governments, merchants or exchanges will treat bitcoins from cannabis activities differently. For beginners, Monero is currently the easiest way to carry out private transactions without much knowledge of coinjoins for example. I privately use both because I already have the necessary know-how using p2p exchanges and hide my private information. We still have a lot of work to do to make privacy a high priority.
The cannabis industry needs to lobby to get KYC repealed on privacy grounds.
And then once you've bought/orange-pilled Congress, then get them to except BTC from income tax. No reporting requirements would be best.
