Take 2 on this poll.

Original post:

It's finally here: The Bargnani draft.

I'm having to change the rules just to get Bargnani on the list of options. From now on we will include the actual top pick plus the eight other guys with the highest career VORPs.

Was he really that bad or was it a good pick and the situation was bad?

It's time to travel back in time and advise the Toronto Raptors on who to select.

It was a toss up between Roy and Rondo. I went with Rondo because he won a championship and was healthier in the long run.

If Roy had good knees his career would have been fantastic.

reply

Rondo's definitely my favorite player in this draft.

reply

Man I remember my good friend was a Boston fan and he hated Rondo. He felt like he held back the big three

reply

That's wild. The only thing holding them back was age...and maybe Doc Rivers.

reply

Doc rivers is so overrated!!!

reply

Omg this draft is terrible

reply

It's deeper than the others, but doesn't have a real top guy. That's probably because of Roy's injury.

reply

I got here too late, and poll has already ended. But I think you know my pick. It's got to be the GOAT Raptor.

Are you recording these and putting them into a spreadsheet or something like that? I thought it's just a series of "for fun" posts with no spreadsheets involved.

reply

No, but we were in the middle of recording and I got it in time to mention your pick

reply

I still choose Lowry.

reply

That's fine, I think he and Aldridge are still the top two choices, but Brandon Roy was the best player in this draft through 4 seasons. He was the ROY, made 3 All Star teams and 2 All NBA teams.

As time travelling scouts, I suppose we have to report back a major medical red flag with him.

reply

Bargnani was actually the first European to go #1 overall but sadly he never became the Dirk 2.0 people hoped for. Maybe he was not a total bust… maybe Toronto just didnot know how to develop talent back then. 🏀
