Time spent watching South Park is time well spent. I think their first commitment is to humor and being seriously funny and only secondarily to satire and mocking that which needs to be mocked. Sometimes they miss, but most of the time they don't.

and i had a feeling the author here might be overstating the satire element. they seem like guys having fun doing what they love, nothing high-brow about that
