Is there anyone here from Massachusetts or elsewhere in New England? It would be great to get a sense of who is in the region and what you're doing with Bitcoin (if anything)? We are located in the Berkshires, western MA, and there seems to be zero Bitcoin adoption here. I'm yet to come across anyone who talks about it or accepts it at their business. We're looking forward to changing that in the not-too-distant future...
Sup guy. Native-born Masshole here and pass through occasionally.
Yea there's not much Bitcoin meatspace action in these parts, there's the MIT Bitcoin Conference sporadically and its mostly shitcoin scams out of Cambridge, just to provide a sample.
There's the Free State people in NH, with a few businesses in Portsmouth (and probably Keene which is more relevant to your location). Every summer they put on a thing called Porcfest which will have mostly Bitcoin vendors... though their version of Bitcoin usually has gigameg blocks.
Bitcoin "adoption" in New England is largely Fidelity's ETF and Tadge Dryja.

I will 2nd the Procfest recommendation. @pappasbland put it on your calendar for next year.
Side Note, If you have not heard of Ian Freeman (Lived in Keene NH) and are into Bitcoin you have missed some important Bitcoin history.
I hope for Ian Freeman release from prison.

Ha ha, ok thanks. Where are you located now?
@abhishandy just informed me about a meetup here in western MA that I had no idea about, so that alone makes this post worthwhile...

Thanks so much for this info, the western MA crew are particularly interesting to me. I'll reach out to them on Nostr – thanks again for that tip!
I was in Albany just yesterday, it's not far from us at all.
