What's a better communications app than Signal?
For privacy, SimpleX. At least you don't need a phone number for it.
I like it too, but I don't think the UX is suited to normies.
I got my family on Signal recently and consider it a big W.
Agreed. I use both. SimpleX is nice for having multiple anon accounts for different purposes.
Best compromise could be Session, close to Signal but without the need for phone number and easier to onboard people than SimpleX or Nostr apps
