This tiny gadget negotiates with the USB C power supply a voltage depending on the switch positions. Costs ~1€ and supports up to 100W power. Pretty cool alternative to regular power supplies.

TACKLIFE CM04. There are a lot of similar ones from other brands. Pretty cheap and has a clamp for measuring current without cutting wires.

Not at all, at least 10x. This way you can just repurpose any of the many USB C chargers laying around in your house.

For now yes. But if a 12V power supply breaks (router, switches, ...) this would do the trick until a new one arrives.
Also I have some led light strips that run on 9V and had to buy an specific adapter for those.
I could also power the BitAxe (5V ~20W) or the NerdQAxe++ (12V, ~80W) with it.
Happy to leave it laying around until it's needed urgently :-)
