Well Speaker Johnson ran out of options and instead of letting the clock tick down until Members were able to force a vote the option to go into August Recess a day early. Originally votes were supposed to run until Thursday now it is Wednesday.

Well and in doing so the “clock” that stops restarts when we come back in September. Then it will be forced 2 days in.

No the House will still be out of session until September 2. Granted I also dont really get work off.... I have a work trip and then a number of meetings with the Department of Energy over their budget request.
I will take a 9 day trip back to Houston for medical care and to see my parents as well as go to a wedding but that will be my first time off and back home since really last year. I flew back to DC like the 27th or 28th of December lol
