There's more than one way to look at it. If all you care about is cash flow, and you're willing to hold, these covered option call ETFs let you bring up your dividend % of your portfolio, even if a relatively small portion of your overall investments is in them.
I was holding CONY, TSLY, MSTY and when the price of the ETF goes down your overall yield % goes up. If you're not holding all your investments in these ETFs and are willing to hold for the long term, you get a very nice dividend flow.
