Westinghouse has a really "rich" history, its current incarnation is to my best knowledge majority-owned by BAM. It's also been owned by BNFL (UK), Siemens (DE) and Toshiba (JP). It also went bankrupt on Vogtle, which was an AP1000 deployment.

There was a documentary on YT about the Toshiba/Westinghouse thing that I enjoyed, Toshiba's Nuclear Annihilation, that also contains some background on Westinghouse and their reactors.

So yes... it's amazing that this goes out, but then, one can follow the tracks from BAM through[1] Sequoia to Goog... so it's not like these are two completely random companies doing something exciting.
