As you may or may not noticed, we released wallets v2 a few days ago (#1041565).

I'm using this post to make sure I have not missed or forgotten anyone's unresolved issues. I also want to give everybody a chance to mention them if they haven't done so already.

Currently, I am only aware of @OT still having issues. The prompt to enter his passphrase to unlock his wallets keeps appearing (#1042948). This suggests that (a) the key to decrypt the wallets was deleted for some reason, or (b) we accidentally generated a new random one, overwriting the correct key in the process.

Is nobody else experiencing this?

Please reply to this post with any bug reports regarding the new wallets. Other feedback is also welcome!

Looks like my wallet's now back in locked/needs passphrase, so I may be caught in a loop (I can create a new phrase again, but figured I'd report it first in case there's something that needs debugging..

Some questions that might help me figure out what happened:

  1. Is this the first time this happened since the release?
  2. Which browser+version are you using? Mobile or desktop?
  3. If you’re using multiple devices: are your wallets still unlocked on other devices?
  4. As far as you know, did you do anything that would cause the browser to delete data?

yeah the old passphrase is not working anymore even that I know what I saved safely and tested before.
But don't worry, was just a test, I still use CCs so no need for this.

It initially did that for me (after a couple minutes of status=500, I assumed that this happened while you fixed that) but after it started working again on my active browser, I restarted that and I've not had the issue since - it felt like some caching issue.

Yeah, I saw the update—thanks for the heads-up. Everything’s working fine on my end so far, no bugs to report. But yeah, that issue @OT is having sounds pretty serious if the unlock prompt keeps showing up. Hope it gets sorted out soon. I’ll drop a message here if I run into anything. Nice work on the v2 release!
