TBH I am so over these updates but since I started em all be damned if I dont finish them. Yesterday seemed like a huge dud until last night when suddenly a breakthrough with the hardliners occurred and they voted to pass the Rule. By passing this procedural step the House is now able to debate and move to pass the three crypto bills along with the Department of Defense Appropriation Act of 2026.
General debate started at 9:30 this morning for the CLARITY Act followed by the GENIUS Act, Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act, and finally the Department of Defense Appropriation Act of 2026.
At roughly 3:45 to 4:15pm the House will vote on one amendment and the passage of the CLARITY Act and the GENIUS Act along with a Motion to Recommit and Passage of the Anti-CBDC Act, adoption of the rule and amendments and a Motion to Recommit and passage of the Department of Defense Appropriations Act. These votes are expected to take an hour and a half given the sheer number of them but once done the GENIUS Act will go to the President for him to sign into law and the bipartisan CLARITY Act and Anti-CBDC will go to the Senate.

Look at the shitcoins ripping. Best way to destroy a bull market, convince dummies there is a new paradigm and they should rotate out of Bitcoin and into shitcoins. The crypto grifters manage to find a way again to have another cycle where they enrich themselves while providing negative value to humanity. Yay.

Tbh it really doesn't make a ton of sense thoughโ€ฆ. GENIUS, the one that would go to the President to sign into law, deals with stablecoins?! CLARITY which deals with the entire crypto market and BTC faces an uncertain future with the Senate.
I personally think that ETH is pumping because of Wall Street. Tokenization moves by Republic and Robinhood are huge and at the moment ETH has the name rec. Plus you have those I think 2 companies with ETH reserves now

ETH is pumping because open interest has increased 70% in the past 3 weeks. No other reason. Some of that is cash and carry from Wall Street firms rebalancing and adding ETH due to more friendly regulatory environment but it is mostly rampant leveraged speculation. Layer 2s accrete almost no value to the base chain and most layer 2 use cases are total hogwash.
Just like the hype with the merge, previous upgrades and the ETFs last year there will be speculative fervour for a short time and then it will blow up and ETH will got back to trending to 0 against Bitcoin.
