This suggests anyone can do it if they choose to. I think that takes away from the people who can excel at it.

This isn’t directed at you specifically. I hear similar comments a lot: I should have gone into x or y, there’s so much money in it. Doesn’t mean you’d be successful

This is indeed a war and Zuck is trying to pace up and get in line with other big techs. I feel him and he is doing the right moves at this moment. Probably the next big advancement will come from Facebook in the next year's. I hope not, cause I don't want him to monopolize everything.
