I agree. Especially for events like these.

Side Note:  I kind of think there should "Always" be an "others" option on markets.

I would think Other would cover all the possible weirdness that can happen.

Examples: Player drops and gets replace, event gets canceled, world comes to an end, etc...

 can we get a market for the PGA Open Championship this coming weekend. Event takes place from July 17-20. Should be complete by 3pm et Sunday unless there is a playoff.

It could be the same as the wimbledon market where you list the 5 or 6 top favourites and then capture the field in other. That would save from listing too many guys.
