Many conferences are done on shoestring budgets. Maybe someone will come along and do clips for them - I agree it'd be valuable. 

Some people will still watch them as is. I've done that before. 2x speed and jumping around a lot.

Maybe they should've hired someone to make a highlights reel instead of just uploading 2 single 8 hour videos. 

Nobody is going to watch one 8 hr video, let alone 2 of them unless they're paid to. 

Trim it to 10 minute videos. Group by topic or highlights by day.
