as far as post titles go, this one is as catchy, verging on provocative, as i can be.
in our age, the word "creator" has become so watered down you would probably have a hard time explaining to a zoomer that the word ever had anything to do with religion, spirituality or the divine.
of course, if the cambridge dictionary is any indicator, such topics are probably out of vogue:
creator noun [ C ] us /kriˈeɪ·t̬ər/ a person who creates something God is sometimes called the Creator.
it is no surprise that we put the personal before the omniscient. why was religion ever relevant again?
--ok, this wasn't meant to be a post about secularism.
divine acts
so, whether you were born before or after the turn of the millennium, you probably should realize that word denotes more than those with open mouth syndrome posing for youtube jpegs, or podcasting influencers pushing the latest hardware wallets, multi-sig solutions or whatever-have-you-tech that somewhat fits their 'personal brand.'
and not to diminish the influencers; in fact, i somewhat envy that way. ...
they have done great work bringing the lower-case c-word back into popular use, or so we can assume based on goole's search analytics.
however, i'm not here concerned with this type of creation. as i've discussed here SN before (#1017209) there is an endemic deficiency in our image-worshiping culture that perhaps the over-use and desecration of that c-word might have something to do with. but i digress.
creation and therefore creators are here, in ~the_stacker_muse territory, words that i'll do my best to repatriate.
because, whatever you create1, there is something divinely inspired in it, be it life itself, awesome art or a delicious recipe. and if you want to be the reductionist/deterministic atheist, then--absolutely--have fun trying to convince us--those preferring the darkness of ignorance and mystery--that there is nothing to it, and it was all "chance."
~the_stacker_muse territory
that brings me to this project.
the muses are divine beings--daughters of Zeus--that inspired the creation of great works of art and poetry.
this territory will be a place for just that. i realize there are a few other catch-all literary arts and culture territories, and i believe a little bit of healthy competition will be good for the space.
there are creators among us. really good ones - writers, visual artists, photographers, musicians. it is to them that this territory is a patronage. it is a place to share creative acts of all kinds (it is moderated, you sick duck) to inspire and be inspired.
that being said, please, keep supporting the ~BooksAndArticles territory, but also consider ~the_stacker_muse for your other non-conforming literary arts.
this is a place for creators to inspire and be inspired, to share invaluable feedback, post original content, try out new ideas, write about your creative process etc. this is ~the_stacker_muse.
who am i?
my interests are literature and poetry. i was a student of literature and, well, i guess this is my attempt at putting what i learned to use.
but that is not a limitation. this is a place for creators of any stripe to share and get some sats for their work. no algorithm, tracking or ads, just sweet, sweet p2p zaps baby. i am interested in arts and culture and this territory is a way to incentive and inspire the fruitful sharing of just that.
while there are other similar territories for ~art ~culture and ~alter_native discussions, ~the_stacker_muse is a place to inspire and be inspired to create (and what is more inspiring than getting paid for what you love to do?) it is my tribute to those who struggle to monetize their craft.
so stay tuned, subscribe, and add the rss feed to your favourite reader.

from Latin creationem (nominative creatio) "a creating, a producing," in classical use "an electing, appointment, choice," noun of action from past-participle stem of creare "to make, bring forth, produce, beget," from Proto Indo-European root *ker- (2) "to grow." (or "horn; head," or "heat;fire").
